Early days - 1975 - 1983

A home made 10 inch F/5.6 inch Newtonion Reflector.  2 years to build and a lot of fun.

Fibreglass OTA on a solid "pillow block" bearing mount. 

The brown metal box on the ground housed the Variable Frequency Oscillator for the syncronous motor control. 

Great for general viewing but poor at tracking the stars.

Sold in 1983.
