Man needs to go back there.

When viwed through the eyepiece, one gets the sense of looking down from a shuttle craft.  Breathtaking!

To give a sense of scale, the massive Copernicus crater is 93 kilometers wide & 3.8 kilometers deep!

Included is an image taken by the orbiting Apollo 12 craft.

Just for fun -

I created this Video for fun to illustrate to local kids what I could see
through the Tak TOA130. In addition I am often asked what it would be like to go to the Moon and look down from orbit. Invaribly such questions would occur during a lengthy imigaging session when visual observation was not practical.

The Video was captured with the TOA130 at 3000mm plus DMK 31AU camera and uploaded to U tube at this link. (with audio)
